What is this role?

We're hiring an Engineering Manager at FlapKap to lead a cross-functional engineering team as we scale our platform and explore new product opportunities. You'll help drive execution on high-impact initiatives — including exciting projects powered by GenAI — while fostering a strong, collaborative, and growth-oriented team culture. Our tech stack is modern and cloud-native, built with Kotlin, Spring Boot, AWS, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code

What will you do?

• Lead and support a team of engineers
• Drive architectural and technical decisions aligned with product goals
• Deliver new features and systems that are scalable, secure, and maintainable
• Champion best practices in code quality, testing, and automation
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders
• Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring as we grow the team
  
  
  

Requirements

• You have experience leading engineering teams, balancing technical planning with people management
• You thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and can provide clarity amid ambiguity
• You bring 6+ years of experience building scalable systems, with 2+ years of experience mentoring, hiring and managing other engineers
• You value clean code, strong architecture, and modern development practices
• You're a strong communicator who collaborates well across functions
