Taager is the first B2B startup focused on social sellers- Merchants. We are democratizing the social e-commerce space by enabling budding and seasoned entrepreneurs to sell online with no required capital, inventory, or operational experience. Our merchants are covered in merchandising, warehousing, shipping, cash collection, and customer service.

In 2019, we started as a team of 8 people. Now we have over 350 employees across Egypt, KSA, and the UAE. We serve more than 34K social e-commerce sellers from incredibly diverse backgrounds – from students earning a part-time income to highly ambitious digital marketing experts looking to become solo entrepreneurs. The sellers on our platform benefit from access to 2,500+ highly marketable products. About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented data platform lead to collaborate on designing and developing existing and new data pipelines and Taager’s data warehouse. As part of the data team, you will oversee the structural design process, estimate costs, and ensure software quality throughout our data products' design, implementation, and deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain both batch and streaming data pipelines.
  • Design and develop Data Warehouse and Data Lake.
  • Build data governance and quality infrastructure to ensure high data integrity across domains.
  • Design and Develop monitoring and alerting solutions for data reliability and availability.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage Data Pipeline Orchestration, ensuring high-performing and optimized data engine costs.
  • Collaborate closely with product teams to understand and implement data requirements.
  • Identify new data engineering trends and explore their compatibility with Taager.

Required skills :

  • Experience in designing data lakes and data warehouses.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Design and develop data pipelines, Extractions, and Transformation processes, calculate metrics and attributes, and populate data models.
  • Experience in using git for code management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker).
  • Strong experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP) and familiarity with deployment tools.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouse design concepts (Kimball, Inmon).
  • Experience with Snowflake, Google Big Query, or similar databases.
  • Exceptional communication skills, teamwork skills, problem-solving skills, and analytical skills.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and adaptable to change.
  • Have experience in managing a data infrastructure of terabytes of data.

Preferred skills:

  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts, specifically Terraform.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with DBT and Airflow.
  • Experience with LLMs
