Taager is the first B2B startup focused on social sellers- Merchants. We are democratizing the social e-commerce space by enabling budding as well as seasoned entrepreneurs to sell online with no required capital, inventory, or operational experience. We have our Merchants covered from merchandising, warehousing, shipping, cash collection and customer service.
In 2019 we started as a team of 8 people, now we are over 350 employees across Egypt, KSA and the UAE. We serve more than 34K social e-commerce sellers from incredibly diverse backgrounds – from students earning a part-time income to highly ambitious digital marketing experts looking to become solo entrepreneurs. The sellers on our platform benefit from access to 2,500+ highly marketable products. Our people are driven by our mission and motivated by our desire to deliver the most seamless customer experience to the sellers on our platform. Position Summary
As the Performance & Planning Lead at Taager, you will be the strategic architect of our data-driven decision-making framework. You will move beyond analysis to own the narrative of our business performance, translating complex data into actionable strategies that drive growth, optimize operations, and maximize profitability. This is a leadership role that requires a blend of deep analytical expertise, strategic vision, and the ability to influence cross-functional roadmaps.
What will you do:
Strategic Leadership & Influence:
- Partner with senior leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish a robust performance management framework across the organization.
- Synthesize data from multiple sources to tell a compelling story about business performance, identifying not just what is happening, but why, and what we should do about it.
- Champion a culture of data-driven accountability and continuous improvement.
Advanced Analytics & Business Intelligence:
- Own the development and maintenance of scalable data models, dashboards, and reporting suites that provide a single source of truth for the business.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on financial performance, customer lifetime value, marketing ROI, and operational efficiency to uncover hidden opportunities and risks.
- Lead complex ad-hoc strategic projects to address critical business questions, from market expansion to new product feasibility.
Planning, Forecasting & Governance:
- Implement and manage a rolling forecast process to provide dynamic insights and enable proactive course correction.
- Establish and govern the standards for data integrity, reporting, and financial analysis across the company.
Team Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Mentor and develop a high-performing analyst (current or future), fostering their analytical and business acumen.
- Act as a central hub for business intelligence, collaborating closely with Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to align goals and drive company-wide strategic initiatives.
What You Bring to the Role (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in performance management, business intelligence, strategic finance, or a similar role, with a proven track record of leading strategic projects.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring junior analysts or leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Expert-level proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python/R, Tableau/Power BI/Looker); advanced financial modeling in Excel is a must.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.
- Strategic, forward-thinking mindset with a strong bias for action and impact.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-growth tech startup or e-commerce environment.
- Deep knowledge of the Egyptian market and its unique business landscape.
