About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and analytical Electronics Buyer to join our Procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our electronics category, identifying emerging tech trends and sourcing reliable suppliers to negotiate the best pricing and ensuring inventory availability. You will play a critical role in ensuring our merchants have access to the most desirable and profitable electronic products.

What will you do:

  • Market Research & Trend Analysis:
    Conduct market research to identify new and trending electronic products (e.g., audio devices, wearables, smart home accessories, mobile accessories).
  • Source and evaluate potential suppliers and based on quality, price, reliability, and ethical standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers to ensure long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and return policies with suppliers. Secure the best possible cost of goods (COGS) while maintaining quality standards to maximize margins for Taager and its merchants.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure strict adherence to contractual agreements, including lead times, quality benchmarks, and order fulfillment rates. Address and resolve any supply chain disruptions or quality issues promptly.
  • Generate reports on supplier performance, pricing trends, and purchasing activity. Collaborate with data analysts to identify insights from purchasing data to inform future buying strategies and inventory planning.
  • Work closely with the warehousing and logistics teams to manage inventory levels and avoid stockouts or overstocking. Align purchasing strategies with sales and marketing plans for upcoming promotions.

What will make you Successful:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial buyer or procurement role, specifically within the e-commerce or retail sectors. Experience buying electronics or consumer goods is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the consumer electronics market, supply chains, and pricing structures. Familiarity with importing goods and dealing with international suppliers is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations to drive cost savings.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to manage internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret data and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel for reporting and analysis. Experience with ERP or procurement software is a plus.
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a passion for e-commerce.
