About the Role
We are searching for an experienced Engineering Manager with a passion for technology and a proven ability to lead high-performing engineering teams. This is a fully onsite role based in Cairo, Egypt.
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead our Mobile, Backend, and Web engineering squads, playing a critical role in shaping the future of our products and services. You will drive technical excellence, scalability, and innovation while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Role Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and empower multidisciplinary engineering teams focused on Mobile, Backend, and Web development, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and execution.
- Promote a “Make it Happen” mindset over analysis paralysis while maintaining high standards of quality and technical excellence.
- Develop and execute strategic engineering plans aligned with company objectives and business priorities.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Advocate for and uphold best practices in software engineering, architecture, testing, and quality assurance.
- Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and staffing decisions to ensure optimal team performance and project delivery.
- Support engineering teams in solving technical challenges, removing blockers, and fostering professional growth.
- Serve as a key liaison between Engineering and other departments, ensuring effective communication and alignment across the organization.
- Monitor project progress, milestones, and key performance indicators, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and market developments to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, supporting continuous skill development and career growth.
Must-Haves
- Extensive experience managing cross-functional remote and in-house engineering teams.
- Strong technical background with 5+ years of experience working with Java/Kotlin or TypeScript-based systems.
- Solid understanding of software architecture and scalable system design.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale software development projects (e-commerce experience is a plus).
- Experience leading teams building highly available microservices-based products.
- Experience with DevOps practices and engineering operational excellence.
- Strong experience with Git and software development best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Expertise with React.
- Experience with Spring Framework.
