About The Role

Thndr is building the primary investment account in Egypt and aims to redefine active trading across the MENA region in one platform. We believe stock markets are the flywheel of the economy. Deep, liquid, and accessible capital markets drive capital formation, encourage entrepreneurship, and create a virtuous cycle of wealth creation.

The Operations function sits at the core of the engine. As Head of Operations, you'll own that engine. The mandate is operational excellence at scale: build operations across systems that run reliably, raise the standard of execution, and shape how the function performs as Thndr expands across markets, asset classes, and millions of customers.

What You’ll Do

You'll define the operating model across Trading Ops, Financial Ops, and Account Opening: how the team is organised and what success looks like at every level.

You'll own the daily and ad hoc cycles that keep the platform running end-to-end across every market we operate in.

• Daily settlement, end-of-day processes, and reconciliation cycles across the different markets

• Corporate actions: dividends, splits, capital increases, IPOs, tender offers, and the rest of the lifecycle

• Mutual fund operations: order processing, payments, reconciliation with asset managers, onboarding new funds

• Funding operations across all channels, with same-day exception handling

• Build and grow the team that delivers all of this — operations managers and specialists across trading, money movement, and account opening

• You'll own incident management as a core operational discipline

What You’ll Need

We're looking for someone with sharp analytical instincts, a builder's orientation, and the operational discipline to execute at pace in a complex environment.

The background that sets you up well: strategy consulting, investment banking, business operations, or a high-ownership generalist role at a fast-growing company.

Specifically:

• Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems and build operating systems that scale

• Strong analytical skills; comfortable with data and able to turn findings into a clear narrative. Ability to learn and rely heavily on SQL

• Experience managing and developing people, with high standards for performance and culture

• A strong cross-functional partner — able to work closely with Product, Tech, and Compliance, and to manage external partners (exchanges, clearinghouses, asset managers, banks)

• Conviction that automation and AI are core to how the function scales

• Ability to learn and apply new regulatory and operational frameworks quickly

• Fluency in Arabic and English
