Job Description:

  • Accountable directly to the Group Risk Manager.
  • Working in the second line of defence to partner with the first line to understand the business and technology risks within the group.
  • To assist in creating reports, summaries, presentations and process documents for the Group Risk team.
  • Review, evaluate and test Business controls as well as ITGC (IT- General controls) and ITAC (IT application controls) failures in the areas of access management, change management, Business continuity and Disaster Recovery and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare BCP policies and share with the Business and Technology team.
  • Coordinate for risk meetings at Group and country level.
  • Perform independent testing (business and technology) and support external agencies for their requirements.
  • Perform regular risk reviews and provide recommendations and guidance on identified security and control risks.
  • Track open audit observations and follow-up for closure
  • Develop a strong understanding of business and system processes
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practice
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to Management and/or Risk Committees.
  • Develop systems and processes for gathering and storing data for future analytic projects
  • Keep abreast of the latest security, privacy, and regulatory concerns and best practices impacting third party risk management.

Job Specification:

  • Knowledge of risk management principles and the interrelationships of 3LoD
  • Enthusiastic about business, technology and Cyber Security including tracking industry trends
  • A graduate / inter CA with 2-4 years of experience in risk, internal audits and consulting.
  • A degree in finance /information technology/computer information systems or related.
  • Exposure of around 1-2 years in business and technology risk domain
  • Clear understanding of audit methodologies.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Analytical and can work with data
  • Able to plan and adapt quickly to changes in priorities
  • Discretion and confidentiality is essential
  • A strong command of the English language both written and verbal
