About Wahed:
The global financial system wasn’t built for everyone. For millions of people, its reliance on interest (riba) creates a barrier to managing money and building wealth without compromising their values.

At Wahed, we’re changing that. We are a global fintech company on a mission to build a new financial system — one that is ethical, accessible, and entirely interest-free. From our offices across the globe, our team is building products that were once deemed impossible: from pioneering Shariah-compliant equity ETFs, to true riba-free alternatives to high-yield savings accounts, to no-leverage, income-producing real estate investments. If you’re driven to solve complex problems and believe finance should empower, not exclude, join us in building a more equitable financial future.

Job Brief:
Wahed is seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to help lead the operational build-out of the values-based wealth management platform we are building in the UAE. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who will drive the delivery of new features, integrations and improvements that expand and strengthen the platform. Working alongside the Investments and Operations teams who run the platform day to day, you will own operational delivery end to end and build the processes, controls and operating model that support a scalable, values-based wealth management business in the UAE. It’s a broad role with real ownership and a direct line to the people setting strategy — a great fit for someone ready to step up and grow.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and overall performance of Wahed’s UAE business.
  • Monitor the country P&L, budgets, revenue, expenditure and vendor costs, working closely with the Finance team.
  • Track key business metrics, including customer acquisition, funded customers, assets under management, revenue, product usage and operational performance.
  • Coordinate operational activities across KYC, customer onboarding, deposits, withdrawals, trading, portfolio management, reconciliations and customer support.
  • Identify operational or product issues, coordinate the relevant teams and ensure that matters are resolved within agreed timelines.
  • Work closely with Product and Technology teams to improve the UAE customer journey, localise the product and support the implementation of new features.
  • Coordinate with Marketing teams on local campaigns, partnerships, events, customer communications and growth initiatives.
  • Identify, assess and onboard new vendors and commercial partners, including coordinating due diligence, contracts, implementation and internal approvals.
  • Manage relationships with existing vendors and monitor their service levels, costs, performance and contractual obligations.
  • Support negotiations with vendors and partners to improve commercial terms and service delivery.
  • Work closely with Legal, Risk and Compliance teams to ensure that local activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and Wahed’s internal policies.
  • Support the preparation of management, governance and regulatory reports where required.
  • Coordinate cross-functional UAE projects and maintain clear ownership, timelines and follow-up across relevant teams.
  • Monitor customer feedback and operational data to identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and business performance.
  • Support local business development opportunities and represent Wahed in meetings with vendors, partners and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on financial performance, operational matters, key risks, vendor performance and growth initiatives.
  • Undertake other UAE-related commercial and operational responsibilities as the needs of the business develop.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Operations or a related field.
  • Approximately 4–7 years of experience in business operations, financial services, fintech, investments, consulting or a similar environment.
  • Experience working across multiple business functions and managing operational or commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of business financials, budgets and P&L performance.
  • Experience managing vendors, external partners or service providers.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow matters through to completion.
  • Analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to use data to identify problems and improve performance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international and highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of the UAE financial services or fintech market is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with digital investment products, KYC, trading or investment operations would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of Shariah-compliant investing or a willingness to develop this knowledge.
  • High level of ownership, attention to detail and willingness to work hands-on across different areas of the business.

  • Why This Role Matters

This role will be central to ensuring that Wahed’s UAE business operates efficiently and continues to grow. The successful candidate will have broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to contribute directly to the development of one of Wahed’s key international markets.
